The next section of my book is called "The Son"; it talks about how life is for Four, as a new dauntless member and how he discovers that his mother came back from the dead... First of all, Four decided that he wanted to live alone after initiation; Max (dauntless leader) offers him the opportunity to be inside the leadership; at the beginning he said yes, but he end up wanting to be an initiation instructor, which is a seasonal work, so he chose to work in the control room during the rest of the year. One day, Tobias found a note inside of his apartment telling him to meet someone; that’s how he got the surprise of his mother being alive, after believing for seven years that she was dead. Evelyn, Four´s mother, told him that the city was changing and she wanted to have him on her side, with the factionless; at first he declined the proposal but then he found something that changed is mind a little. He found out that since he declined the offer as leader, Eric may be the next right candidate for the job; but what he wants for dauntless, has to do more with brutality than anything else, he saw that dauntless only wants a pawn that they can control. Four end up sending a later to his mother telling her "someday not yet." Moreover, Tobias gets another tattoo...this one expressing his divergent part; it is composed of all the faction symbols together showing rebellion; but of course the location is his back so the shirt covers it, only the dauntless flames are visible.
The quote mention above is mention in the book when Tobias had just discovered his mother have been alive all this time and his mother is trying to convince him to join her group. This quote made me question the "perfect" society they have because now its seems like a rebellion is going to happen in search for power. What are really Erudite and Dauntless planning? Does everybody will have to choose aside? What does Four going to do?
All this conflict building up in Four´s life is maybe too much to handle being too young, but he seems to be taking things really well. It seems that all he wants to do is let that part of him that is shy, the kind of boy he has been raised to be. I couldn’t imagine how he deals with all he has in mind because sometimes I think I have like a thousand problems, but really they are like five and for me it seems like the end of the world; instead for him is like normal he is used to suffer like that. A good thing that until now his childhood has been helpful is because he can think for himself, so when he was about to become a leader he realize that all they wanted was someone that they can manipulate and he rejected the offer. He just wants to be free, like he expresses himself in the next quote: "All I have, I realize, are the small moments of rebellion I´m able to manage, just like when I was in Abnegation, collecting objects I found on the street. The tattoo that Tori is drawing on my back, the one that might declare me to be Divergent, is one of those moments. I´ll have to keep looking for more of them, more brief moments of freedom in a world that refuses to allow it (Roth 176)" Veronica states everything that I´m saying in those brief words; one thing that I have notice is that when more you forbid a child to do something more he wants to do it, eventhough adults can´t see it they have an inner voice that tells them what to do, so they follow it and most of the times that rebellion type of actions are what build up the teenager personality and attitude to the unknown.
¨"Our city is changing Tobias." It´s the same thing Max said yesterday. "The factionless are coming together, and so are the Dauntless and Erudite. Sometime soon, everyone will have to choose a side, and I know which one you would rather be on. I think you can really make a difference with us." (Roth 159)¨

| Four´s new tattoo |
¨"She sorts through the pages until she finds a drawing like the one I was talking about, The Dauntless flames being cupped by Abnegation hands, The Amity tree roots growing beneath an Erudite eye, which is balanced under Candor scales. All the faction symbols stacked on top of each other. She holds it up, and I nod" ... "You know, the kind of person who gets this tattoo is probably the kind that should keep it very quiet," she said, looking at me from the corner of her eye. “Or else someone will start thinking they’re Divergent." (Roth 162 163)¨
This phrase is located when Tori and Four are discussing about what tattoo did he wanted and where. The first section of it describes in greater detail of what the tattoo is composed, which at first is sounds something ordinary; but when you start seeing the past of that faction world, the reader can clearly notice that those kind of drawings are some kind of rebellion and that’s why in the lower section Tori warns Four about how he has to keep it hidden because it can bring terrible consequences for both of them; for her because she made it and for him because he have it. When I read these two quotes I thought about what does really the society promotes amongst people; the first thing that came to my mind was that they are so focused on their factions and how to increased their power that when people want to express themselves they have to do it in an indirect form cause that could bring punishments. The good thing about this fragment is that we can see that people still have imagination and think farther of what they had already being teach; people that try to find ways to feel free and expressed.
